Police though has taken the DNA sample of a schoolteacher on girl's statement but has not named anyone in the rape case.
The DNA test samples of accused as well as that of the baby have been sent to Faridkot medical college. The girl has been admitted at Budhlada hospital and presently is under depression.
Mansa SSP Hardyal Singh Mann confirming sending of DNA sample of a Falluwala Doad village schoolteacher said, "As per complaint lodged by girl's father and victim's statement, teacher's DNA sample has been sent to medical college along with that of the baby's.
He said rape case has been registered against unknown person as the girl later retracted that the teacher had raped her.
He said as the girl doesn't seem to be in her senses, police would again record her statement, when she comes out of trauma.
The girl, who studies in Class VII, on Sunday night gave birth to a male child at Budhlada hospital, but he died minutes later. Girl's father had alleged that she was raped by one of her teachers. The girl too made this statement to the police, though police claims she later retracted.
Under depression, the girl had not fully regained her senses till Monday evening. The father demanded action against the accused and sought his arrest.
The medical officer on police's directions sent the DNA sample of the teacher along with that of the baby Faridkot medical college. SSP said as girl is not in condition to make a statement, no one has been named in the FIR. But if the DNA of the baby matches with that of the teacher's, strict action would be taken against him.
