Delhi: 'body in a bag' mystery solved?

http://static.ibnlive.com/pix/sitepix/03_2011/neetu_murder_271x181.jpgNew Delhi: Two weeks after an unidentified woman's body was found dumped at the New Delhi railway station, the police have finally cracked the case. The girl has been identified as Neetu Solanki, a law graduate.
The police is on the look out for her live-in partner who is the prime suspect in the case.

Neetu Solanki was a go getter, a law graduate who also studied engineering. She wanted to scale new heights.

No wonder then that when she contested for a position in the MCD elections in 2007, the symbol she chose was of an aircraft taking off.

But this girl's promising life was brutally cut short. On February 11, her body was found stuffed in a bag, abandoned at New Delhi's railway station. She was identified only a few days ago on February 24 after her body was cremated.

“Her body had bruises. The injuries show she was beaten up,” said Ashok Chand, Deputy Police Commissioner.

The police is now looking for her live-in partner Raju Gehlot who is absconding. They have arrested Raju's relative Shokeen who had helped him dispose off the body.

Neetu’s family says they are certain Raju killed their daughter.

"Raju was the only boy in her closest friend circle. I think it was him," said Kartar Solanki, Neetu's father.

Neetu had left for Singapore in May 2010 and was to return home in February. The police is still trying to verify whether she ever went abroad but till Raju is arrested, the reason why the girl with the peacock tattoo was killed will remain a mystery.
