Man held for sending vulgar SMSes to woman cops

PATNA: The Patna Police on Sunday arrested one Sunil Pathak from Sipara locality under Jakkanpur police station on the charge of sending obscene SMSes to a woman DSP and a sub-inspector (SI) attached to Women's Cell.

Senior SP (SSP), Patna, Alok Kumar said that Pathak used to send obscene SMSes to several people, including the two woman cops. "This was going on for long," he said and added that some of the people who had received such SMSes had lodged a complaint with the Jakkanpur police station in this connection.

The SSP said the Patna Police monitored the number from which SMSes were being sent. He said that Pathak was arrested on Sunday and was being interrogated. "The police are locating all the numbers on which SMSes were sent by Pathak," he said, describing Pathak as a man with a sick mind. Police sources said that Pathak used to send dozens of SMSes to different persons daily.

Road blocked: An irate mob blocked the Patna-Danapur main road under Danapur police station on Sunday morning after a tractor hit a six-year-old boy, Mithun, causing him injuries. The tractor driver managed to escape with the vehicle.
