Take the case of this Delhi High Court lawyer. A government official claiming to be a CBI inspector is sending her lewd SMSes.
Love ke liye kisi ko bhi stalk karega: Rehana Jha (name changed), an advocate who practices at the Delhi High Court, has helped many get rid of their problems. But now that she is in trouble, she is finding it hard to come out of it. A man claiming to be a CBI officer has been harassing her for the past two months. He has been sending her lewd messages on her mobile phone and is threatening her of dire consequence. Rehana approached the police and got an FIR registered at Sarojini Nagar police station. The stalker is yet to be arrested.
Stalker with four cells: Speaking to MiD DAY, Rehana said earlier she used to live with a common fried in a PG in south Delhi. The stalker was known to her room mate and used to call her. From the roommate the stalker got her number and has been harassing her since then. "I am from the CBI and will not let you work anywhere unless you become mine. I have good contacts with the police also and you won't be able to do anything to me," reads one of the SMSes from the stalker (Rehana showed the SMS to this correspondent). She added the stalker has four different numbers from which he sends her the messages.
Bareilly ki bazzar se: A senior police official who is involved with the investigation said the stalker is from Bareilly in UP and will be arrested soon. "We are scrutinising call details of the accused person. He is in electricity department in Bareilly," said the official. Rehana, meanwhile, is having sleepless nights.
Stalker sends condoms as gift!
A stalker who has been harassing an employee of the Royal Bank of Scotland's Connaught Place branch for the past several months gave her a packet of condoms as Valentine's Day gift. The victim, Priya (name changed), was stunned when she received such a gift from her stalker. He also threatened her of dire consequences if she reported the matter. Priya approached the police and filed a case."He knows about me, my bosses, my colleagues. The stalker has told me if I do not pick his calls he will start calling up my colleagues," said the Priya. Meanwhile, a senior police official said that on February 9, Priya's colleague Samal was beaten up by her stalker and his friends. "Three men intercepted Samal (Priya's colleague) and gave him a packet of condom. They asked him to hand it over to Priya. When he refused, they beat him up. We are looking into the matter," said the police official.
