The girl is a resident of Nand Nagri.
"The girl's parents left for the market Wednesday evening leaving her alone at home. Kewal Kumar, who is his mid-20s, entered the house on finding her alone and then molested her," said a senior police officer.
"When she resisted, he squeezed her neck and threatened to kill her. He, then, raped her and threatened her and her parents with dire consequences," said the officer.
When the girl's parents returned, she narrated the incident and they filed a complaint at the Nand Nagri police station.
"A medical check of the girl at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital confirmed rape. We registered a case and arrested Kewal Kumar," said the officer.
