W.J., 34, and his lover C.R., 20, were caught in the act by a police patrol at 4 am but they stepped out of the car at around 6 am when a special rescue team arrived and a forcible eviction looked imminent.
W.J is an Iraqi carpenter and C.R is a Russian college student. The couple refused to open the car door for two hours despite the endless efforts of the police to convince them, reports the Gulf News.
On being caught, W.J. confessed before the Dubai Misdemeanour Court of having consensual sex with the girl in his SUV in a sandy area behind Mall of the Emirates.
W.J. is in police custody while C.R. is out on bail.
The couple has been charged under the law for having consensual sex.
