Deranged father shoots dead his girlfriend and their six-year-old twins before turning gun on himself

A deranged father shot dead his girlfriend and their two children inside a car before turning the gun on himself.
Salvador Acevedo, 45, murdered Iris Oseguera, 33, and their six-year-old twins - a boy, Michael, and a girl, Michelle - while his three other teenage children were in the car with them.
Acevedo then drove the three surviving children to a relative's house and released them, before driving to a separate location and shooting himself.

See the video report below...

Police in Los Angeles said that the family had been driving on a residential street in a grey sports utility vehicle when the adults began to argue.
Acevedo produced a handgun and shot Oseguera and the two children in the chest.
It was his three surviving children who called the authorities, once they had been released unharmed.
Police told local news outlet KTLA that they received a report of gunshots at around 10.30pm on Saturday on a street near where Acevedo had previously owned a business.

The car was moving when deputies found it and they instructed Acevedo to stop, shortly before they heard a gunshot.
Acevedo was found dead in the driver's seat from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Three other bodies were found in the car, as was a handgun.
Oseguera was pronounced dead at the scene and although the twins were taken to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center for treatment, they died there later.
At the scene of the shooting, floral tributes were left on the pavement and the words 'R.I.P. Chava were painted on the blood-stained road at the side of the vehicle.
