The accused Dhanabal, a driver with a travel firm and a resident of Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, had come here to visit his daughter who was working in a call centre, police said.
The incident happened when his daughter was away at work last night.
Dhanabal had lured the girl, who was playing in front of their rented house, inside and allegedly raped her, sources said.
The girl had later complained to her mother that she was having severe pain and was unable to sit down. It was then that the mother came to know about the incident and lodged a complaint against Dhanabal, police added.
